The Influence of UV Irradiation on Diabetic Mice Skin: A Vibrational FT-IR and Raman Spectroscopic Study

Forty-two (42) SKH-2 hairless male mice were divided into six groups consisting of 7 mice each. The control non diabetic (N) mice and irradiated control (IrN) mice; the diabetic mice injected with 20 mg/kg SZT (D20) and the corresponding irradiated (IrD20); the diabetic mice injected with 30 mg/kg SZT (D30) and the irradiated mice (IrD30). Diabetes was induced by given to each mouse five daily intraperitoneal IP injections of SZT (20 or 30 mg/kg) solution in sodium citrate buffer 0.1 M, pH 3.5-4.5.
