Evaluation of COLIA1-1997 G/T polymorphism as a related factor to genital prolapse

Introduction and hypothesis Pelvic organ prolapse has a multifactorial etiology. There is increasing evidence that genetic factors greatly impact its development. This study aimed to evaluate the possible relation of the collagenous polymorphism −1997 G/T with genital prolapse in Brazilian women.
