Three‐dimensional versus two‐dimensional imaging for laparoscopic suturing

The advent of three-dimensional camera systems is an important development that facilitates certain laparoscopic tasks, particularly intracorporeal suturing. However, three-dimensional systems require a heavy pair of eyewear and it is not clear if this technology has significant advantages over two-dimensional imaging.
