A clinical case of corneal perforation which was successfully managed by all transplantation of a renal capsule was described. A 3-year-old Pekingese male dog weighing 6 kg was brought to the emergency unut with corneal perforation in the left eye. A renal capsule tissue of a size to sufficiently cover the defect and the surrounding limbal area was transplanted. After dislodgment of the capsule the corneal defect was sealed The eye was periodically evaluated and after 6 months the corneal oedema completely disappeared except for a small area of perforation. Renal capsule transplantation can be an alternative method in surgical therapy o deep and perforating corneal ulcers.
