Flexible Graphene Based Films for Stepped Impedance Lowpass Microstrip Filter

A stepped impedance lowpass microstrip filter composed of graphene based film (GBF) microstrip is proposed in this work. The basic structure includes high-impedance and low-impedance line made up of high-conductivity graphene based films. The presented GBF filter is operating at 2.5 GHz. The experiment results show that microwave signals can transmit along the GBF microstrip lines effectively, and the insertion loss of GBF filter is less than 0.67 dB at passband. The GBF filter has a good performance, which is comparable to the traditional copper filter. Microstrip filter designed with high-conductivity GBF will play an irreplaceable role in wireless communication.
