Significance of immunoglobulins and complements in kidney diseases

Objective To explore the effects of immunoglobulins and complements in kidney diseases.Methods Nephelometry was used to determinate the serum level of immunoglobulin(IgG,IgA,IgM) and complements(C3,C4)in the patients with acute nephritis(AN),chronic nephritis(CN),nephrotic syndrome(NS) and uraemia(UR).Results (1)IgG was decreased in each group of kidney diseases:normalANCNNSUR;(2)IgA in AN group was higher than that in other groups;(3)C3 in UR group was lower than that in other groups(P0.05).Conclusion Serum levers of IgG,IgA,IgM,C3 and C4 can not only be used to differentiate kidney diseases,also are helpful to therapy and the prognostic diagnosis of kidney diseases.
