Eliminating Phlegm Effect of Fudosteine Tablets on Chronic Respiratory Disease

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of fudosteine tablets on chronic respiratory disease. Methods 30 patients with chronic respiratory disease were randomly divided into two groups in a double-blind,parallel comparison study,16 patients in the group received Fudosteine tablets,400 mg,po,tid,and 14 patients in the control group received Ambroxol hydrochloride tablets,60 mg,po,tid,both were treated postprandially and for consecutively 7 days. Results The clinical effective rate in the fudosteine tablets group and ambroxol hydrochloride group were 93.75% and 92.86%,respectively,no significant difference between the two groups(P0.05) was found;Only 1 case in the ambroxol hydrochloride group showed increased gastric acid and relieved after several hours. Conclusion Fudosteine tablets is a safe and effective phlegm eliminating drug.
