Study of Stability Constant of EDTA Complex of Lanthanide Metal Ions and Their Influencing Factors

Studies were made on the routines of stability constants logK of EDTA complexes of lanthanide metal ions and the influencing factors. A set of parameters such as radii, electronegativity, the number of 4f electrons, and periodic factors, defined in this work, were used to correlate the stability constants logK of EDTA complexes of the lanthanide metal ions with multiple linear regression technology (MLR). The cross-validation procedure indicated that the obtained explicit model is intrinsically reliable and the predicted results were satisfying.
