A novel method of preparing Ti-Ni hydrogen storage films by ion beam sputtering

Abstract A novel method of preparing hydrogen storage alloy films by ion sputtering and the equipment used are described. The Ti-Ni alloy films were prepared by sputtering from a split target comprised of a Ti plate and a Ni plate in suitable ratios. The composition, structure and hydrogen storage properties of the films were investigated.
