Discussion of "Slope stability thresholds for vegetated hillslopes: a composite model"

Wu 1062 The authors have presented a method to estimate the threshold rainfall that would trigger failures on slopes with various amounts of root reinforcement. The method is used for land management in New Zealand. In this discussion, the writer wishes to point out that the method is based on several assumptions that need attention before the method can be considered generally applicable.
