The clinical manifestations and electrophysiology studies of Carpal tunnel syndrome

2010
Objective:To investigate the clinical manifestations of carpal tunnel syndrome(CTS) and the significance of electroneurophysiological examination in the diagnosis of CTS. Methods:Analyzed the clinical manifestations and causes in 36 patients with CTS. Patients received surgery based on the analysis of nerve conduction velocity and electromyography examination. Results:The total cure efficiency was 88% in 36 patients of the group in accordance with sensory function rating by eighteen-month follow-up postoperatively. Conclusion:Nerve electrophysiology examination and surgical treat-ment is of great significance in the early diagnosis of CTS and recovery of hand function.
