Resistance to Cerebrospinal Fluid Outflow Following Subarachnoid Haemorrhage

Subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH) often causes an increase in intracranial pressure (ICP) either by inpairment of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) resorption or by brain oedema (Kosteljanetz 1984, Voldby 1985). Fifteen to 20% of the patients sufferin from SAH develop hydrocephalus (Vassilouthis 1984).
