Colchicine therapy in children with FMF

Colchicine treatment is the standard therapy for prophylaxis of attacks and amyloid deposition in familial Mediterranean fever. In the guidelines of 2007 an initial dosage in regard of the age of the patient is recommended (0.5 mg/day for children 10 years of age).
