Koryoamniyonitin Perinatal ve Neonatal Sonuçlar Üzerine Etkisi The effect of Chorioamnionitis on Perinatal and Neonatal Outcomes

2015
SUMMARY Preterm birth is a one of the important causes of neonatal morbidity and mortality. Chorioamnionitis is a major risk factor of preterm birth. Due to heterogeneity between studies are difficult to evaluate the neonatal outcome. In addition, due to improvements in perinatal and neonatal care over the years the effects of chorioamnionitis on neonatal outcomes have become less evident. Histologic chorioamnionitis is associated with a reduction of incidence and severity of respiratory distress syndrome. However, eventually contributing to an increased risk of bronchopulmonary dysplasia. Also chorioamnionitis has been shown a risk factor for neonatal sepsis, cystic periventricular leukomalacia, white matter disease, cerebral palsy, and intraventricular hemorrhage.
