Immune response to pigs vaccinated simultaneously with P. multocida bacterin and classical swine fever lapinized vaccine

2012
The strategy for simultaneous vaccination with P. multocida bacterin and lapinized swine fever vaccine was evaluated using indirect ELISA. Pigs vaccinated simultaneously with both vaccines induced significantly higher and durable antibody titer against swine fever virus than that of group receiving lapinized swine fever vaccine alone. Further, levamisole induced significantly higher antibody titer in simultaneously vaccinated group than the groups receiving vaccination without levamisole. The simultaneous vaccination strategy saves time and labour and provides immunity upto market age of the pigs.
