The influence of multi-level energy storage on the access of distributed renewable energy

With the continuous development of Distributed Renewable Energy and electric vehicles, the structure and system of power grid have undergone extensive and profound changes. Meanwhile, it also brings great challenges to the stability and feasibility of power grid. The emergence and application of DC energy storage can play a supporting role for power grid system. Under different voltage levels, DC energy storage has different roles and influences. This paper presents the construction of power grid through matlab/simulink, and discusses the function of multi-stage DC energy storage. Based on the actual power grid structure in Jianshan, Zhejiang Province, the advantages of low and medium voltage side energy storage in reducing power load and cost are discussed. A real-time control algorithm is proposed to minimize the operation cost while guaranteeing instantaneous power balance and physical constraints.
