Optimization of Predicting Spring-Back When V-Bending for SS400 Steel Plate

2021
In this paper, the Taguchi method and regression analysis used to evaluate the influence of technological parameters: punch radius, temperature and punch stroke to the spring-back angle after V-bending for SS400 steel plate output. The experiments were designing with a mixed orthogonal array and conducted using the L9 (3 × 3) on the bending and heating testing machines modern system. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to determine the effects of input parameters on the output parameters. The analysis results show that the temperature was the biggest factor affecting the springback angle after forming. Nonlinear regression analysis used a quadratic polynomial function to predict experimental results. The predicted values according to construction and experimental mathematical models were vere close to each other, this shows that the built mathematical model has high reliability.
