Preoperative chemotherapy with cisplatin in combination with docetaxel and gemcitabine in locally advanced non-small-cell lung cancer

Despite surgery, both locoregional and distant disease controls remain poor in stage III non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Preoperative chemotherapy has become an accepted treatment but no established regimen exists. Our objective was to define the activity and feasibility of cisplatin in combination with docetaxel and gemcitabine in stage III NSCLC followed by surgery or radiotherapy.
