Assessment on Edible Safety of Soybean Isoflavone Compound Capsule

Objective To evaluate the edible safety of Soybean Isoflavone Compound Capsule.Methods The acute toxicity test,bone marrow cell micronucleus test,sperm abnormality test,Ames test and 30 days feeding test of mice were performed in accordance with the procedures and methods for toxicological assessment on food safety.Results The maximal tolerance dose of soybean isollavone taken orally by mice was more than 20.0 g/ kg,so soybean isollavone was no poison.The results from bone marrow cell micronucleus test,sperm abnormality test and Ames test were negative,and each index from 30 days feeding test was normal.Conclusion This study indicates that Soybean Isoflavone Compound Capsule is safe.
