Qigong improves quality of life in women undergoing radiotherapy for breast cancer: Results of a randomized controlled trial

Background Radiotherapy may lead to side-effects undermining patients’ quality of life (QOL). While mind-body practices such as qigong appear to improve QOL in cancer survivors, little is known about benefits for patients undergoing radiotherapy. Thus, this RCT examined the efficacy of a qigong intervention on QOL in women with breast cancer during and after treatment.
