THEORY AND APPLICATION OF NEUTRON SCATTERING IN THE MEASUREMENT OF SOIL MOISTURE
1963
The determination of soil moisture by the neutronscatter technique is considered in a theoretical discussion. Calculated and measured neutron fluxes are considered in various systems of concern to the technician desirous of improving techniques of measuring soil moisture. Differences in the response of a Nuclear,Chicago P-19 and a Troxler Model 102 neutron probe are presented.
