Research on ferrocement housing-global perspective

Ferrocement has proven itself to be an excellent material for housing construction particularly for roofs, floors, slabs and walls because of its relatively low cost, durability and weather resistance. Its versatility further increases its utility for producing prefabricated components required in housing. The fabrication technique of ferrocement is easy to learn and non-technical people could be trained in a short time to learn the skill. The current researches (1991-1993) on ferrocement on housing applications are presented.
