New quality indicator for treatment of acute myocardial infarction

Crude mortality is commonly used as a quality indicator for the treatment of acute myocardial infarction, but has important limitations including its dependence on the local case-mix. The authors aimed to explore the feasibility of a novel approach using risk adjustment according to the Global Registry of Acute Coronary Events.
