Revelatory Features of Fuel Oil Futures to Coal Futures in China

Coal is the most important fuel in China.In these years,supply and demand is more and more tightening and the price often waves dramatically.For both buyers and sellers,it is increasingly required to avoid that kind of market risks.The fuel oil futures,as the first energy commodity futures launched in China,is working very well in recent four years and plays a good role in avoiding market risks.Considering experiences from the fuel oil futures,this article will analyze possible products in our coal market and draw the conclusion that coking coal futures may be introduced as the first product of coal futures.
