Influence of the law on the practice of medicine.

When people read about the wonders of medicine, many come to believe that no disease is incurable and to equate death with negligence on the part of the doctor. Meanwhile the doctor is becoming more hesitant to expose himself to the risk of lawsuit, perhaps by using a new method of treatment. We are in the midst of a social revolution whose impact is felt keenly by practicing physicians.
