SUMMARY In this review we analize the more frecuent causes of cardiac arrest during pregnancy, the standard maneuvers of C.C.P.R., and the changeability of additional adjustements superimposed by changes in physiophatologic conditions of cardiovascular, respiratory, renal and endocrine systems, as well as anatomical alterations. Besides, we must have in mind, time in pregnancy, state of the fetus, drugs used: narcoticas, local anesthetics by per way of regional anesthesia and pathologycal desorders: hipertensive disease, left ventricular hypertrofia, overweight. We emphasize three basical disorders: preeclampsia-eclampsia, severe hemorragical status, thromboembolism and problems related to provide a permeable airway and the best technique for external cardiac massage after the twentieh week, to achieve a team that enhances the survival and diminish number of adverse outcomes.
