Gender dysphoria: referral for ear, nose, and throat or facial surgeries

Barrett’s enlightening article on gender dysphoria1 provided our department with much food for thought—in particular, highlighting that, as more than one in 200 patients identifies as transgender, we probably serve at least one such patient a day in our local district general hospital.
