GRUPOS DE FOCO ON-LINE ASSÍNCRONOS: UMA BREVE REFLEXÃO SOBRE SUA APLICAÇÃO

The increasing prominence of the Internet in people's daily lives has spawned innovations in various areas of knowledge. It could not be different with the Qualitative Research Methodology, which had some of its traditional methods adapted to the online application. However, the online context brings opportunities and challenges that give new characteristics to the methods. With this in view, this essay aims to discuss an emerging method of research: online focus groups, especially those known as 'asynchronous'. The main methodological peculiarities involved in the use of the method, as well as its limitations and advantages will be treated in comparison to the traditional face-to-face method.
