The main effects of radio-induced toxicity are seen on the vascular system (coronary and carotid artery disease), the myocardium itself, the pericardium, the valves, and the conduction system. This chapter provides a systematic review of the radiotherapy toxicity and mechanisms. The factors that may influence this toxicity and their management will also be alluded to.
