B Fig. 2.-42-year-old man with mass near shoulder. Superficial subcutaneous lipoma of back (arrows, A) is overlying medial scapula. On all sequences, signal intensity within tumor is similar to that of adjacent subcutaneous fat. A, Axial Ti-weighted image (800/16 (TRITE]) shows well-defined mass with epicenter in subcutaneous fat. Lowsignal-intensity margins surround tumor, and wispy septations are noted, especially at medial aspect. B, Axial T2-weighted image (4000/80 [TR/effective TEl) shows margins and septations remain of low signal intensity. Both tumor and subcutaneous fat remain of similar signal intensity.
