Childhood Intraocular Tumors
2021
While pediatric ocular tumors are rare benign or malignant tumors, it is important that they be properly treated in a timely manner to save the eye and, in many cases, the life of the patient. These tumors may be apparent at birth or acquired later. Regardless of the benign or malignant nature of these tumors, they can cause vision problems or disfigurement and even life-threatening sequela if they are left untreated. The prognosis will be improved by early and correct diagnosis from clinical findings and using multiple imaging techniques.
