Relation between Helicobacter pylori infection and gastric membrane changes in Xining City of Qinghai Province and its six rural east seaside counties

Objective To discuss the status of Helicobacter pylori(Hp) infection and its east relation with gastric pathology in Xining and its east around countries of Qinghai Province.Methods Choosing 161 patients who had been examined by endoscopy in some time at Qinghai Provincial People′s Hospital,the gastric tissue which was taken under endoscopy was examined by Campylobacter Like Organisms,Warthin-Strarry staining as well as western Blot to judge the condition of Hp.Meanwhile,their life style was investigated by the avenue of questiennaire to compare the relation between Hp′s infection and gastric pathology.Results The positive rate was 88.8%,and 92.8% in male, 81.3% in female.It didn′t find that there was relation among Hp′s infection,population characteristics or diet customs,living circumstances and past histories.The Hp′s infection was lower in chronic superficial gastitis than gastric carcinoma.The positive rate was 23/33( 69.7%),26/31( 86.7%),27/27(100%) and 65/69( 94.2%),respectively,P 0.05.The rate of gastric carcinoma as well as atypical hyperplasa was notably higher in male than in female,it was 52/113( 46.0%),23/113( 20.4%) respectively in male and 17/48( 35.4%),4/48( 8.3%) respectively in female P 0.01.But the rate of chronic superficial gastitis was notably higher in female than in male,it was 17/48( 35.4%) and 16/113( 14.2%),P 0.05.There was difference between Hp′s infection and pathological diagnosis in male,P 0.01;but it didn′t find in female,P 0.5.Conclusions Hp′s infection was high in this district,and was notable higher in male than in female.There was the relation between Hp′s infection and more severe pathological lesions in male.
