Laparoscopic posterior sutured rectopexy for full thickness rectal prolapse in a male patient - a video vignette.

2021
Surgery is still the only known treatment option for complete rectal prolapse. Although over 100 abdominal and perineal procedures are available, there is no consensus as to which intervention is best suited for an individual. [1]. As recommended by Naldini et al in a recent algorithm, external rectal prolapse, of less than 10 cm, should be treated with a rectopexy or Delorme procedure [2].
