Nursing experience of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients on carrying out helium-oxygen mechanical ventilation during acute exacerbation

2017
Objective To discuss about the key nursing points of carrying out helium-oxygen mechanical ventilation during acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and have clinical observation. Methods Retrospective analysis was conducted to 60 patients of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease received in the ICU of this hospital from June 2013 to December 2015.All the patients received helium-oxygen mechanical ventilation treatment on the basis of traditional treatment and had targeted care. After the treatment, the adverse effects were observed during the process of clinical effect and nursing. In addition, conclusion and analysis were made aimed at the key points of nursing. Results After receiving helium-oxygen mechanical ventilation treatment, patients' PaO2 increased, PaCO2 decreased, Ppeak decreased, but SpO2 and pH increased. Compared with prior treatment, the difference had statistical significance(P<0.05). 34 cases had marked effect, 21 cases had effect, but 5 cases didn't have effect. The total effective rate of treatment was 91.67%. During the treatment, there was no significant adverse effect. Conclusions Effective treatment and nursing measures conducted to the patients of helium-oxygen mechanical ventilation treatment can relieve the difficulty in breathing caused by disease, decrease airway pressure, improve blood index, decrease CO2 retention and promote the living quality of patients, which is worth doing clinical promotion.
