Objective: To assess the quality of life of parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and compare income and children's communicative profile. Methods: 55 parents participated, who answered the questionnaire to assess quality of life, sociodemographic questions and the child's communicative profile. Frequency calculations and non-parametric Mann-Whitney test were performed. Results: Scores in the environmental domain differed according to the use of communication, the parents' ability to understand the child, frequency of outings with the child and income. The psychological domain was influenced by the parents' ability to understand and frequency of outings. The scores for the social domain differed according to income. Conclusion: The quality of life was considered good or excellent for most parents, an expressive number of parents had quality of life considered regular, in the environmental and social domains. The quality of life scores differed according to the income and child's communicative profile.
