A case of prostate cancer diagnosed one and half year after retropubic prostatectomy for benign prostatic hypertrophy

1996
: A 77-year-old male patient underwent retropubic prostatectomy for benign prostatic hypertrophy. Fourteen months after operation, a hard nodule was palpated on the left lobe on digital examination. Transrectal needle biopsy was performed, and the pathological diagnosis was poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma of the prostate. It was one and half year after prostatectomy that we diagnosed prostate cancer (stage D2).
