Case studies on NZEB: Dutch experience with schools

The latest target in building design is Zero Energy/ Emission Buildings, buildings that over a period of a year on average generate as much energy as they use. This goal is difficult and expensive to reach and \ designers need new approaches for the building design process to meet the new demands from society. How it can be reached depends on the local situation in each country. Therefore it is useful to look at specific examples for a country however it can of course all so be interesting to look over the counties borders and compare the different approaches. This article presents some of the latest developments of net zero of even positive energy schools in the Netherlands.
