Child Mortality in Jordan: Patterns, Trends and Gaps in Knowledge.

2021
Over the past 25 years, Jordan has made great strides in improving child health and nutrition. Child mortality has fallen substantially: under five mortality falling from 37 to 18 per 1,000 live births between 1990 and 2015 (1). Nevertheless, it is estimated that 4,000 children die in Jordan each year before the age of five, and a further 1,000 between the ages of five and 14.(1).
