Wireless technology in school: Example of Electrical technical school 'Nikola Tesla' in Niš

2012
Large scientific technological progress has led to the use of many modern technologies in various buildings and institutions, including schools. One of the most frequently applied technology lately is wireless technology. This technology allows fast and economical connection between the user and the user itself as the Internet, which is most often the case. However, very often the questions of safety and hazards when using this technology as devices that are used for the transfer of signals, so-called routers. Routers emit high-frequency electromagnetic radiation and thereby forming an electromagnetic field around it. This paper presents the results of measurement and simulation of electromagnetic fields of wireless routers TL-WR 340G and AT-WA1104G in the School of Electrical Engineering 'Nikola Tesla' in Nis and compare the results with the appropriate health standards.
