The Role of MRI in GERD

Dynamic MR fluoroscopy is a promising non-invasive method with which to evaluate the anatomy and function of the GEJ in GERD patients as well as in patients after Nissen fundoplication. Morphologic problems as well as functional problems like motility disorders can be confidently visualized with MR fluoroscopy pre-and postoperatively. Different imaging features can be described to identify postoperative failures after LARS.
