Study on the genotype of extended spectrum beta-lactamases among Pseudomonas aeruginosa in nosocomial infection

2009
Objective To study the genotype of extended spectrum beta-lactamases(ESBLs) among Pseudomonas aeruginosa in nosocomial infection. Methods SHV,TEM,CTX-M,OXA-10,VEB and PER gene of 68 nosocomial isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were detected by polymerase chain reaction(PCR).Some of the products were sequenced. Results Among nosocomially isolated 68 Pseudomonas aeruginosa,26 strains had the OXA-10 groups ESBLs gene with a positive rate of 38.23%(26/68),and one strain had both OXA-10 groups ESBLs and TEM broad-spectrum beta-lactamase gene.Other genes were all negative.OXA-10-like and TEM-1 gene were found by sequencing some PCR amplified products. Conclusions Pseudomonas aeruginosa in nosocomial infection mainly produce OXA-10 groups ESBLs,and all the strains are multiple resistant.
