Cobalt ferrite magnetic nanoparticles as a highly efficient electrochemical platform for simultaneous determination of dexlansoprazole and granisetron hydrochloride

2020
Abstract The present work records a simple, rapid, low-cost electrochemical platform for the simultaneous determination of Dexlansoprazole (DEX) and its co-administered drug; Granisetron hydrochloride (GRA) in drug substances and human plasma using cobalt ferrite magnetic nanoparticles CoFe2O4 NPs as an outstanding mediator. CoFe2O4 NPs were synthesized through one-pot, facile hydrothermal method. Different techniques were used to characterize the synthesized nanoparticles. The established electrochemical protocol offered the worthy analytical performance for DEX and GRA sensing in terms of low detection limits 24.53 nM and 342.00 nM, and wide dynamic ranges 2.22 × 10-7– 11.76 × 10-5 and 11.10 × 10-7– 12.62 × 10-5 M, respectively using square wave voltammetry (SWV). The practical applicability of the proposed novel sensor was successfully applied on pharmaceutical preparations and spiked human plasma, attained satisfactory recoveries with high precision and accuracy.
