A new method for determining positions of phenolic hydroxyl groups through silylation and application of H(Si)C triple-resonance NMR experiments

2007
Abstract Two-dimensional triple-resonance H(Si)C NMR experiments have been applied at natural abundance to assign 13 C NMR signals in silylated phenols. The method showing its great potential in determining positions of hydroxyl groups is widely applicable to signal assignment and structure elucidation of synthetic and natural phenolic compounds.
