Postoperative care is a critical element in the transition from disease to health for patients with esophageal atresia. Despite significant variation across institutions, there are certain universal principles in the care. This chapter will review the details of management for these patients at all stages of recovery with specific focus on respiratory care, feeding, and screening for postoperative complications.
