L’uso di biotecnologie nella riparazione dei tendini flessori

Severe flexor tendon injuries in the hand still represent a challenge for the surgeon. Several solutions have been proposed to avoid these problems: better suture techniques, even with mechanical systems, and the use of biotechnologies as barrier agents against scar formation both in primary sutures and in tenolysis following failures. Poor results are to be treated by sophisticated surgical techniques: tenolysis, teno-arthrolysis, tendon grafts (one or two-stage), up to the use of tendon prosthesis.
