Effect of mercuric chloride on physiological and biochemical indexes of blood in SD rats.

2010
In order to observe the effects of mercuric chloride on physiological and biochemical indexes of blood in SD rats,24 SD rats were separated into control group, low (50 mg/L),middle dose group of mercury (100 mg/L),high (200 mg/L) dose groups of mercury,as drinking water. After successive exposed over 21 days,RBC,WBC,HGB,PCV,MCV,MCH,MCHC and PLT in blood were tested by fully automatic blood cell analyzer. Moreover,GLU,CR,AlB,TG,TBIL,ALT,AST,TP,BUN and TCH in serum were analyzed by Semi-automatic biochemical analyzer, respectively. The results showed in each poisoning groups, decrease of RBC,HGB,HCT,MCV,MCH,MCHC and PLT and significant increase of WBC,(P0.05);decrease of GLU,ALB and TP (P0.05 or P0.05),and increase of CR,BUN,TBIL,ALT and AST (P0.05 or P0.05).Compared with control group,as the increasing the doses from 0 to 100 mg/L mercury,it showed the increase of TG and TCH,but significant decrease (P0.05) at 200 mg/L.It is suggests low-dose mercury exposure can significantly change physiological and biochemical indexes of the blood of SD rats with dose-response relationship and cause microcytic hypochromic anemia and damage of liver and kidney of SD rats to various degrees.
