Dan’e Fukang cream for sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease

Objective To observe the clinical effect of Dan’e Fukang cream for sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease and its influence on the blood rheology of ovary and uterus arteries. Methods The 45 patients with sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease were randomly divided into a treatment group A, a treatment group B, and a control group. Both treatment groups took Dan’e Fukang cream and the control group clindamycin and metronidazole. The clinical effects after the medication and the changes the blood rheology of ovary and uterus arteries before and after the treatment were observed. Results The cured rate and total effective rate were 40.0% and 100.0% in the treatment group A and were 46.7% and 93.3% in the treatment group B, with statistical differences from those of the control group. The local symptom score was lower after than before the treatment in both the treatment groups and were better in both the treatment groups than in the control group after the treatment, with statistical differences (P<0.05) . and had significant difference compared with before treatment (P<0.05) .The score of two treatment groups had significant difference compared with the control group (P<0.05) .The pulsation indexes and resistance indexes of ovary and uterus arteries were higher after than before the treatment in both the treatment groups, with statistical differences (P<0.05) . Conclusions Dan’e Fukang cream for sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease is clinically effective; 15 g per time is better for the patients can increase the pulsation indexes and resistance indexes of ovary and uterus arteries; therefore they can be used as objective indicators to evaluate the clinical effect of Chinese medicine activating blood circulation for the disease.
