Structural optimization research on hemispherical resonator gyro based on finite element analysis

Hemispherical shell resonator is the key component of hemispherical resonator gyro (HRG). The finite element model of the resonator of HRG is established based on the dynamic equation with ANSYS. The natural frequency and correlative vibration mode of resonator is calculated by the proposed model. On the theoretical analysis, the influence law of structural parameters on the vibration characteristic is obtained. The structural optimization model is established to guide the structural optimization of parameters. Theoretical and simulative results show that the optimization model can be applied to conduct the optimal structure design of resonator. It provides the theoretical basis and parametric reference for the design of hemispherical shell resonator.
