Surgical Management of Spinal Tuberculosis

Surgical Intervention in the treatment of spinal tuberculosis (TB) antedated the discovery of the antibiotics. Although some of these innovative surgical procedures were successful, the outcome was poor due to the fact that surgery was not supplemented with the yet undiscovered anti-microbial agents.
