Support bearings for the wheel suspension of a vehicle

Support bearings (10) for the wheel suspension (11) of a vehicle (12), comprising: a housing (30) which is adapted to be secured to one end of a strut (16) in the wheel suspension (11), said housing (30) having a chamber (38) having a fluid therein; and two membranes made of a metal material (64, 65) which are spaced apart and extending across the chamber (38) extend to react with the fluid to be compliant with relatively small deflections and to be stiff at relatively large deflections, wherein the two membranes (64, 65) in their centers on a central element (78) which is arranged in the housing (30), and for each connection to a piston rod (20) of the strut (16) are connected.
